How Infertility Impacts Your Mental Health at Work

Nov 25, 2021

I’m keeping this brief this week as I don’t know about you but I seem to have a very long to-do list today. I’d love you to listen to our episode this week, to hear more from our brilliant guest Julianne Boutelab founder of Parenthood in Mind.

Not only do Julianne and her team provide an essential service for those of us dealing with all that comes with a complicated route to parenthood, she also manages to keep an amazingly supportive Instagram account going.

If you have been wondering about getting support and I know how all too often you are at the bottom of the list when it comes to looking after things, maybe this chat will spur you on to reach out? I’d love to hear what you think.

The other thing I wanted to share was the patient feedback survey from the HFEA which you can complete here. If you have had treatment within the last 10 years then please do spare a few moments of your time. I did it earlier and it didn’t take long.

Your feedback is so vital in helping improve the process for others and it also gives you the opportunity to air your views if you’ve weren’t happy with how you were treated.

Something else that I’m keen to share with you – exclusively is that I’m now working with The Institute of Embryologists to help them share the fascinating work they do (more to come on that).

Tomorrow evening (Tues 16th) they are holding another of their webinars which are mind-blowingly interesting and you can come along and listen in: It’s called ‘THE Y CHROMOSOME’.

Tuesday 16th November, 2021. 3PM EST/ 8PM GMT / 9PM CET

With Professor Darren Griffin and Dr Stacy Colaco

“The human Y Chromosome and the Future of Men”

Professor Jenny Graves

“The Role of the Y Chromosome in Infertility”

Do let me know how you are doing as you know I love hearing from you and if you fancy leaving me a message about your experience of treatment at work, don’t forget you can do that here.
